Matt's experience and ability to deliver results have earned him a trusted and respected reputation within the industry. This reputation is further supported by his strong problem-solving skills and solutions-driven mindset.

Before joining Concertus 11 years ago, Matt began his career as a CAD technician, working on measured survey programmes of works and rebranding for several large private-sector retail chains.

Over the years, Matt progressed from Design Technician to Assistant Architectural Designer within the Architecture team, taking on two secondments within the Building Surveying team. Gaining valuable skills, he was then able to put these skills to the test and lead the refurbishment of Concertus' Head Office at Friars Bridge Road, one of the projects he is most proud of.

Matt became a Senior Architectural Designer, working on £40m+ projects such as the award-winning Mildenhall Hub. These achievements helped Matt lead the implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) within Concertus. Matt has successfully managed and delivered large capital maintenance programmes, including condition survey programmes. This naturally led to his promotion to Principal Building Surveyor.

Fast forward to 2025, and Matt's role as an Associate Director Building Surveyor involves leading a team of 13 and delivering a significant number of projects each year for local authorities, academy trusts, and other public sector clients. Matt is highly valued by his peers, proven by his award-winning track record at Concertus.
