Building Services Design
What We Do
By utilising our knowledge and diverse experience in Building Services Design we create effective solutions for our clients.
Our Engineers work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to design the mechanical, electrical and sustainable systems required for the complete operation of buildings. The integration of building services – covering heating and ventilation, lighting and acoustics, plumbing, power supply and building management systems – allows buildings to be used efficiently.
The Building Services Design Team can deliver stand-alone projects or work as part of a wider, multi-disciplined team. We provide a full service that ranges from consultancy and feasibility assessments, to design commissions and full project delivery.
We have a proven track record for delivering Building Services Design projects that are both capital efficient and energy efficient. Our approach is focused on tackling carbon emissions and minimising energy for a more sustainably built environment for the future.
Our Building Services include:
We are committed to a sustainable approach to energy design, which is in line with our journey for achieving Net Zero.
Our energy design services are expanding to meet future demands including the following:
• review of Part L compliance (2A/2B) non-domestic new builds and refurbishments
• review of EPC/DEC energy certification and sustainability reviews
• feasibility and viability (to support planning submissions)
• thermal comfort reporting and resolution (TM52/BB101)
• climate based daylight modelling (CBDM) and
• support with various funding streams
We can provide support with CIF, Salix, and work with clients to secure funding through (BEIS) Decarbonisation Funding.
Our Engineers are pleased to have played a significant role in securing the requested funds for the decarbonisation initiative for Suffolk County Council.
The team have been working in conjunction with the County Council, preparing for the successful delivery of the packages of work to decarbonise various elements of the Council’s estate. This work is in line with securing funding from the Government Public Sector Decarbonisation Fund.
We have been notified that we have been successful in both our bids for all packages submitted.
We can provide advice to develop a strong framework for your project. Our Engineers will work closely with you to establish your aspirations. Having gained an understanding of the objectives, drivers, and challenges of the project, we will be able to articulate your needs and help to develop the business case.
In this competitive market, we have evolved to build a strong portfolio. Using our extensive experience, we have adapted our approach to create sustainable solutions.
The team can help to establish the viability of projects. They can also explore several possible options by generating feasibility studies that can be used in the early stages of projects.
We deliver far more than Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) Design for both new build and refurbishment projects. As Engineers, we can adapt to see our clients’ true needs. The team will ensure the appropriate levels of heating, lighting, power, ventilation, fire and security are delivered to provide safe and comfortable environments.
Testimonial
“The play space, PE facilities and outdoor learning opportunities are excellent. We all love learning and working in the light, bright purpose-built classrooms and activity spaces. The building is warm in winter and cool in summer. The biomass boiler appears to be cost-efficient as well as a talking point.”
