What We Do
With our extensive knowledge and diverse experience in Building Services Design, we deliver innovative and effective solutions tailored to our clients’ needs.
Our engineers collaborate closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to design the mechanical, electrical, and sustainable systems that ensure buildings operate seamlessly. From heating and ventilation to lighting, acoustics, plumbing, power supply, and building management systems, we focus on the integration of services to enable efficient and effective building performance.
The Building Services Design team is equipped to manage stand-alone projects or contribute as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We offer a comprehensive range of services, from consultancy and feasibility assessments to design commissions and full project delivery.
We have a strong track record of delivering Building Services Design projects that are both cost-efficient and energy-efficient. Our approach prioritises reducing carbon emissions and minimising energy consumption, creating a more sustainable built environment for future generations.
Our Building Services include:
At the heart of our approach is a commitment to sustainable energy design, aligning with our journey towards achieving Net Zero.
Our expanding energy design services are tailored to meet evolving industry demands and include:
• Comprehensive reviews for Part L compliance (2A/2B) for non-domestic new builds and refurbishments.
• Assessments of EPC/DEC energy certifications and detailed sustainability reviews.
• Feasibility and viability studies to support planning submissions.
• Thermal comfort analysis and resolution in accordance with TM52 and BB101 standards.
• Advanced climate-based daylight modelling (CBDM).
• Guidance on accessing and maximising support through various funding streams.
• We specialise in securing funding through programmes such as CIF, Salix, and the BEIS Public Sector Decarbonisation Fund, working closely with clients to make projects viable and impactful.
Our team is proud to have played a pivotal role in securing critical funding for decarbonisation projects, including for Suffolk County Council.
Collaborating with the Council, we developed robust proposals to decarbonise key elements of the Council’s estate. This comprehensive effort culminated in the successful allocation of funds from the Government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Fund.
We are delighted to announce that we achieved success in securing approval for all submitted funding packages. Our engineers are now focused on ensuring the smooth delivery of these projects, making meaningful contributions to sustainability and energy efficiency across public sector assets.
We provide expert advice to help you develop a robust framework for your project. Our engineers will collaborate closely with you to understand and refine your aspirations. By gaining a deep understanding of your objectives, drivers, and challenges, we can effectively articulate your requirements and support the development of a compelling business case.
In an increasingly competitive market, we have built a strong and diverse portfolio by leveraging our extensive experience. Our adaptive approach ensures the creation of innovative and sustainable solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each project.
The team can help to establish the viability of projects. They can also explore several possible options by generating feasibility studies that can be used in the early stages of projects.
We deliver much more than Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) design services for both new build and refurbishment projects. As engineers, we take a tailored approach to understand and address our clients’ true needs. Our team ensures the delivery of optimal heating, lighting, power, ventilation, fire safety, and security systems, creating safe and comfortable environments that meet the highest standards.
Testimonial
“The play space, PE facilities and outdoor learning opportunities are excellent. We all love learning and working in the light, bright purpose-built classrooms and activity spaces. The building is warm in winter and cool in summer. The biomass boiler appears to be cost-efficient as well as a talking point.”
