Progress taking place at Old Kent Road site
We are thrilled to see the great progress over at Old Kent Road. The site, which is based on Ivy Church Lane in Southwark, London, once consisted of 48 council managed garage spaces. We are pleased to be working for Aspen Build (East Anglia) Ltd on the new development, turning this site into a complex of accessible homes in a car-free environment. The new development will include 21 residential units comprising of 4x three-bed houses and 17 flats of various combinations.
All flats and houses will abide by the Lifetime Homes Guidelines, the LBS New Home Design Standards and Secure By Design. Two of the properties will be designed for Wheelchair Users under M4(3) of the Building Regulations.
The works on site are currently progressing well. The steel frame, that houses the 17 flats, has been completed with concrete floors in place, enabling the external walls to be built. Mews houses, positioned at the rear of the flats, will soon be next in line for construction.
