Thank You for Your Support in 2025

Friars Bridge Road Christmas Tree

As 2025 draws to a close, we reflect on our achievements that strengthened communities and partnerships. We began by hearing from our Managing Director, Matthew Self, who shared his vision for continued innovation and growth. That message set the tone for what has been an exceptional year for Concertus.

Early on, we supported Suffolk County Council in procuring a new Property Maintenance partnership, reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality services across the region. From expanding Melton Primary School’s early years provision to the official opening of the Autism Centre of Excellence at Stratton School in Biggleswade, our projects across the East of England have championed accessibility and inclusion. Following a devastating fire, we proudly reopened Otley Primary School with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

A significant milestone was reached with the construction of Suffolk County Council’s first net-zero-in-operation school at Lakenheath Primary. This project sets a benchmark for sustainable education facilities and reflects our commitment to a greener future. We also marked the completion of the Nexus development in Lowestoft, paving the way for a clean energy cluster that will drive sustainability and economic growth. Our sustainability efforts didn’t stop there. We embraced Biodiversity Net Gain and shared insights during COP30.

Our six-year partnership with the University of Suffolk continued to flourish, with progress on new Pharmacy and Library facilities. We also celebrated the development of East Anglia’s first Esports Hub, strengthening our role in shaping innovative learning environments.

Our blue light collaboration continued across Suffolk with the launch of a new state-of-the-art Fire Control Room in Suffolk, and the completion of the £12.8 million Ipswich Ambulance Hub, ensuring enhanced safety and resilience for local communities.

In the East Midlands, work commenced on a new £5 million children’s home project, providing vital support for young people in care. Community spirit shone through as we celebrated the opening of a new school dance studio at Harpur Hill Primary School and a new teaching building at Tibshelf Community School, creating environments that inspire learning and wellbeing.

Our appointment to Fusion21’s Construction Consultancy Services Framework was a proud moment, reflecting our expertise across a diverse range of projects. The £32 million Walsall Household Waste Recycling Centre was shortlisted for the RIDBA Awards, showcasing our leadership in sustainable infrastructure.

Throughout the year, we placed a strong emphasis on people, celebrating the success of our trainees, welcoming new talent into the business and celebrating the Group’s efforts in raising over £25,000 for Cancer Research UK.

We also shared in Vertas Group’s success, including winning the King’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development. After being shortlisted for three awards at the East Anglian Daily Times Business Awards, the Group finished the year ranked number three in the Suffolk Ltd. 2025 Top 100, which highlighted our impact within the local business community.

As we enter 2026 and look back on these achievements, we extend our gratitude to our colleagues, clients, and partners. Thank you for your continued support and collaboration. Your trust and dedication have been instrumental in making 2025 a year of success and meaningful impact.

Wishing you and your families a fantastic festive season. Our offices will remain open during the holiday period, except on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
