Concertus appointed to the ESPO’s Consultancy for Decarbonisation and Net Zero Strategies framework

Concertus are delighted to announce our successful appointment to the ESPO’s Consultancy for Decarbonisation and Net Zero Strategies framework (500). This is a significant accomplishment which we are incredibly proud of and further demonstrates our dedication to providing services that will help reduce carbon emissions.

We were awarded a place on both framework Lots, which means we can provide a diverse range of services to both above and below £50k schemes. These services include business case development, carbon retrofit and adaptation advisory, full-scale project management, commercial documentation development, energy strategies and master planning, emerging technologies advice, feasibility studies and impact assessments, grant funding applications, heat decarbonisation plan production, low carbon consultancy services, preparation and submission of planning applications, ROI analysis, specification and design services, building and M&E fabric/condition surveys, tender process management, and whole life and operation embodied carbon studies.

The framework is open for use by any Public Body including local authorities, schools and academies, central government agencies and ministries, NHS, and emergency services.

The Framework for Decarbonisation and Net Zero Strategies offers numerous benefits for customers who are seeking consultancy services. Firstly, service providers included in the framework have been pre-qualified, which means that customers can be confident that they are financially stable and have a proven track record of supplying to the sector. They will also have a good understanding of the sector’s needs and possess sound policies relevant to the Framework. This ‘pre-qualification’ process saves customers time and effort in finding suitable service providers.

Secondly, the framework negates the need for customers to undertake lengthy and costly procurement processes otherwise necessary to comply with UK public procurement law. ESPO has already carried out all the necessary formalities required by procurement law when setting up the framework. This means that customers can approach the nominated Framework Service Providers without the need to advertise the requirement or pre-qualify the service providers themselves.

Lastly, the framework enables social value benefits through further competition and the use of the Social Value Portal to measure social value outcomes. The framework offers an efficient and effective way for Customers to secure consultancy services for decarbonisation and net zero strategies while also ensuring social value benefits.
