New Waste Transfer Centre on Lytham Road taking shape

We have been working for our client Suffolk County Council over at the new Waste Transfer Centre on Lytham Road.

The new build Waste Transfer station is an ancillary development including weighbridges and staff facilities, a new site access road, parking and a drainage and water management system. This facility, designed and project managed by Concertus, takes recycling and waste that is collected by East Suffolk Council for bulking and onward transportation for processing. R G Carter, as the contractor on the project, have played a fundamental role throughout.

The main structure is of a steel frame construction with external Luna Wood Cladding that is in keeping with the local landscape and internal cladding. With extensive external work to support the requirements of this facility now complete, this project was handed over last week.
