Apprenticeships + Graduates
Without our people, there are no projects and we believe that it is our exceptional talent at Concertus which makes us stand out.
Apprenticeships + Graduates
We have witnessed that project and professional teams are the most creative, innovative, and collaborative when they are diverse.
We, therefore, seek to build a business which benefits from a range of experience levels, industries, and insights.
Alongside those who have built their career over several years and join us at mid-level, senior or management level we employ apprentices, trainees, and graduates across a range of age groups.
Concertus, along with the rest of the Vertas Group, are committed to continuously developing our people. One of our external training providers recently commented “As is always the case with Concertus staff, the attitude, desire and commitment to better themselves is first class”.
Below, you will find what opportunities may be open to you by joining one of our training pathways.
Apprenticeships + Training Opportunities
Our apprentices and trainees play a pivotal role in helping our Group grow.
Our apprenticeships and training programmes, covering all our Professional Consultancy Services, provide the valuable opportunity to earn a salary and start a career as part of a successful business with real-world experience, whilst also gaining the qualifications needed to excel in the industry.
As they progress through their programme, our trainees receive promotions to reflect their new skills, knowledge, and experience.
Apprenticeship and trainee opportunities can be found on our Culture + Careers page, however, we also accept speculative CVs at any time. You can contact us about potential opportunities by emailing [email protected].

“I haven’t stopped learning since I left school and Concertus provides a platform to combine study and work-based learning, placing huge value on developing employees and giving opportunities where others may not. The mixture of the two also provides an advantage upon the completion of studies – not only will you graduate but have several years of real-world experience to boot; an invaluable resource to anybody. Deciding to become more educated within my job role was a no-brainer. I hope to become successful as quickly as possible, and this route with Concertus offers the best opportunity for that.”
Levi Maslauskas, Trainee Building Services Engineer
Employee Experience
As an example of one of the career pathways you can enjoy within the Vertas Group, read below about Richard who now manages an Architectural team after originally joining us as a trainee.
“When Concertus was first established in 2013 I joined as an Architectural Assistant having recently completed my Part 2 studies at university. Through the opportunities available to me at Concertus I was soon able to work on my own projects of a variety of scales which was an incredible learning curve and helped me to develop my project running experience and technical design skills. The level of experience I gained saw me progress to Designer and then later to Senior Designer. Concertus kindly sponsored me as I completed my Part 3 part-time and provided an in-office mentor. Upon completion, and as part of my responsibilities as a Senior Designer, I was given the opportunity to develop my leadership skills and mentor junior members of the studio. Being able to develop these skills helped me progress towards the role of Principal Designer where I took on the responsibility of managing a small team. From my time here, it’s my view that Concertus is a fantastic place to develop and gain multi-disciplinary design experience across a variety of sectors and project sizes, where your own career progression is encouraged.”
Richard Carr, Principal Architectural Designer
